Selection has different colors depending on the type of selection.
Focus cell
Pink is the color of the focus cell. If you press ENTER, the focus cell will go into edit mode.
Cell selection
Brown is the color of cell selection. If you select multiple cells, the focus cell will be pink and the rest will be brown.
Row selection
Blue is the color of row selection, i.e., when a row is selected as a unit.
Column selection
Darker blue is the color of column selection, i.e., when a column is selected as a unit.
