Date columns allow for date information entered as text. You can type simple words or phrases such as “today” or “last month”. The text is then converted to a date.

Some examples of valid words and phrases that you can type in the date column are
- now, today, yesterday, tomorrow

- a day after tomorrow, 3 days after today, 6 days before next thursday

- 22nd, 21st of jan.
Translation errors
“Why is my date column showing text in red?”
When you enter text in date column, the text is converted to a date value. If the text cannot be converted to a date, the text will be displayed in red to indicate an error.
This text-to-date conversion only happens when you type in some text directly in a cell in a date column. If you move a text cell from another column to a date column, the text is not converted to a date.
Likewise, if you move a date cell to a text column, the date is not converted back to text. Cells retain their type regardless of where they end up.
