By default, dragging text from a text page marks the text rather than removing it. This feature helps in extracting information from a block of text into a grid format without losing your place in the text block.
Disabling mark on drag
The mark-on-drag button appears above and to the right of a text page, next to the upside-down menu triangle and the min-max buttons. The mark-on-drag button is selected by default. Enable / disable mark on drag by clicking on the mark-on-drag button.
Clearing the markings
Mark on drag formats the text that is being dragged. To clear the formatting, select the text and from the application tool bar select the Remove Format button. It is the rightmost button on the application tool bar.
