“How do I divide the application window to show two views side by side?”
You can partition the application window by dragging a tab. As you drag the tab, green lines appear on the screen showing how the screen will be divided if you let go of the tab (i.e., let go of the mouse button to perform a drop) at that moment. Drag the mouse to different edges of the screen for different partitions. Once you find a partition to your liking, let go of the mouse button to perform a drop. The window will be split along the green partition lines.
Once you have successfully partitioned the application window, you further adjust the size of the partitions by dragging their boundaries.
Repartition
Sometimes you can’t get what you want on the first try. In those situations, create a partition close to what you want. Then grab the tab again and drag it again. This time, the partition you just created will help the application figure out new green lines that may be closer to what you want.
